Autosurf Sites
What are "Autosurf sites?"
An Autosurf site is a free service for webmasters who want more visitors to their websites. The term "Autosurf" is shorthand slang for "Automatically Surfing," which refers to the format of the service.
How Autosurf Sites work
Before Autosurfs came along, there were already many sites offering a traffic exchange where their website would get seen by others once for every two websites that they view themselves.
The website simply rotates the links that these webmasters add to it, so that when they visit it an 'surf' 20 sites, they have just earned enough credit for their website to be viewed 10 times too.
The Autosurf is the next evolution of that "manual surf" traffic exchange. Instead of these webmasters having to manually go to the 20 links, an Autosurf will automatically scroll through all the web pages for them and they still collect credit for having simply seen the website.
Drawbacks of autosurfing
The downsides to autosurfs can be very significant, however. First of all, the trade-in value is usually less than 1 show per every 2 of your views. In some cases the trade-off is 1 show of your site per every FIVE automatically viewed pages.
The more serious reason to avoid Autosurfs is that there is little stopping the other webmasters from simply walking away from the display of your site, leaving your site to be seen by no one at all.
Conclusion about autosurf sites
Autosurf sites are among the worst quality traffic ever invented. Only consider using autosurf to get your site traffic if your site for some reason needs traffic without human beings looking at it. Otherwise, autosurf sites are not likely worth your time.
